When looking to replace your home heating system or convert from oil to gas, it all boils down to comfort and efficiency.

Where do I start?

When you are looking to replace your home heating system, furnace, boiler or heat pump, whether it’s powered by gas, oil or electricity, call the experts at Stankus Heating and Cooling to help determine the right unit for your home. Today’s technology has brought many new features, not to mention types of home heating units to provide you with efficiency and home comfort.

When upgrading to a new gas or oil unit …

One of the first things to consider when purchasing a new furnace or boiler is the units efficiency. This is measured by an AFUE rating. AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency of a gas unit in converting fuel to energy.

The second thing to consider when replacing your home’s heating system is some of the new features that the newer units have to offer. Variable speed refers to the blower motor. This "smart" motor puts an end to the temperature swings during the heating season and removes more humidity during the cooling season. Two stage heating warms the heat exchanger before circulating air throughout your home on those days when we just want to take the chill out of the air. When the temperatures drop the two stage furnaces switch to high stage for maximum heat. Conventional furnaces burn fuel, the air is heated in the heat exchanger and then the warm air is blown throughout your home. What are heat pumps?

The same unit heats your home in the winter and cools your home in the summer. A heat pump can also be added on to your system as an auxiliary source of heat.

For your convenience, we accept major credit cards. Financing is also available.
